Copernicus Center logo

The Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies is an independent unit of the Jagiellonian University. The Center conducts advanced interdisciplinary research at the intersection of the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences, including fields such as physics, cosmology, philosophy, history of science, mathematics, and cognitive science.

The Copernicus Center is also dedicated to science popularization and education. It organizes numerous public lectures, debates, runs a popular science YouTube channel at YouTube.com/CopernicusCenter, and the website www.wielkiepytania.pl. It is also a co-organizer of the Copernicus Festival, an event that combines science and culture. The Center established and continues to develop Copernicus College, the first Polish MOOC platform.

The Copernicus Center Press publishing house also operates under the auspices of the Center.

The Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences at Jagiellonian UniversityThe Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences at Jagiellonian University is the largest doctoral school at the university.

It comprises over 600 doctoral students, with 20% being international students from nearly 30 countries around the world. We offer education in 8 disciplines, across 12 programs, within 9 university departments.

Fictionlab is a technology company specializing in implementing mobile robotics by supporting research and development activities as well as commercial collaboration in the design of specialized land drones.

Their product lineup includes two robots – Leo Rover and Rapha Rover, which serve as the foundation for advanced robotics projects. The company's mission is to lower the entry barrier to robotics, and its motto is "Make Robotics Simple."

Planetary Lab logo

Planetary Lab is an Interfaculty Planetary Research Program established in 2020 as part of the Excellence Initiative - Research University program at the Jagiellonian University. Our goal is to develop planetary science in Poland. We conduct scientific, didactic, and outreach activities.

As part of our activity, we study the atmosphere, surface, and subsurface of Mars in cooperation with American and European partners, e.g. USGS or NASA JPL, and national research institutions, e.g. Space Research Centre PAS or Warsaw University of Technology.

In Planetary Lab constantly participate almost 20 scientists representing different scientific disciplines and three faculties of the Jagiellonian University: the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Applied Computer Science, the Faculty of Geography and Geology, and the Faculty of Law and Administration.

RMF Classic is a radio station that offers more than just music - it's a true feast for culture and art enthusiasts. It started as Opera FM in 1998, focusing exclusively on opera music. In 2003, it transformed into RMF Classic, expanding its offerings to include film music, jazz, poetic songs, and interviews with prominent figures from the world of culture and science.

The station broadcasts programs full of inspiration and information about major cultural events, such as exhibitions, theater performances, and film premieres. Each day is divided into several-hour blocks hosted by different presenters, featuring shorter thematic segments.

RMF Classic is not just terrestrial radio – it can also be listened to on digital platforms like Canal+, Cyfrowy Polsat, and online.
